The April 2025 TaskRay release introduces a redesigned Kanban view—with a cleaner layout, improved task segmentation, and a more intuitive experience. It’s easier to navigate, helps teams work faster, and sets the stage for more interface improvements coming throughout the year. Curious what’s next? Check out the Product Roadmap.
TaskRay’s most popular view just got a major upgrade. In our April 2025 release, we’re introducing a newly redesigned Kanban view—built with you in mind.
The new Kanban isn’t just a fresh coat of paint. It’s a thoughtfully refined interface designed to simplify navigation, enhance usability, and make your daily workflow feel more intuitive. Whether you’re tracking customer onboarding, managing complex implementations, or juggling internal projects, this view makes it easier to see what’s happening next.
With this update, we’ve focused on the ability to:
See key task details you need directly on the task cards
Hide infrequently used columns to streamline your view
Segment by Task Groups while working on multiple projects at once
These updates reflect the feedback of real users and address specific friction points we’ve heard from teams using TaskRay every day.
Sandbox Environments: April 22, 2025
Production Release: May 6, 2025
The new Kanban view will be available by default starting with this release. But don’t worry—you can always toggle back to the legacy Kanban while your team gets used to the new layout.
This release marks the first of many interface enhancements we’re rolling out this year. A wave of thoughtful updates to the TaskRay interface that all build on one another—bringing momentum and refinement to how you work in the app.
You’ll see more improvements throughout the year, all rooted in the same philosophy:
Design that simplifies your work, adapts to your needs, and gets better over time.
