TaskRay Agents are AI-powered assistants designed to support specific customer delivery and project management activities. In TaskRay, agents have specialized skills and assignments that help expedite routine and mundane tasks. The workflows that are repeatable and redundant can be easily delegated to agents to free up human capital and resourcing for more complex tasks.
They use TaskRay project context to help users monitor project health, prepare updates, detect risks, manage milestones, coordinate work, and complete repetitive delivery tasks. Agents work inside of TaskRay’s security and data model on behalf of humans to help orchestrate and complete repeatable workflows.
TaskRay Agents can support a range of project and delivery workflows, including monitoring, reporting and summaries, risk and change detection, schedule and milestone management, team coordination, follow-up activities, and customer or stakeholder communication.
Available workflows and capabilities may vary based on each customer’s TaskRay environment and configuration. Contact sales or customer support to learn more about what agents are available.
Customers have complete control over the level of access an agent has in Salesforce. TaskRay AI operates inside Salesforce security, permissions, and governance. Role-based access and data visibility continue to apply, so users only have access to the project and Salesforce information they are authorized to see. You decide if an agent can read, write, edit or delete information in a workflow. TaskRay’s solutions and onboarding teams will help you set the right governance for your agents.
Yes, TaskRay's MCP allows AI assistants to connect directly to TaskRay project data
General-purpose AI assistants - like Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini - can query and answer broad questions and generate insights, but they may not understand an organization’s live project structure, access deeper project data models, delivery processes, permissions, or Salesforce data. To use LLMs with TaskRay, a customer must also have a paid subscription to that LLM. Consumption credits will be used to query TaskRay, which is a direct cost to the customer.
TaskRay Agents live natively in the system of record and are designed around customer delivery workflows. They operate using structured TaskRay project context and can be configured to follow the organization’s business rules and approval processes. There is no consumption cost to using TaskRay AI in the application.
This level of agent intelligence is called an ‘opinionistic’ execution layer, which is the defining strategic advantage of someone using a TaskRay agent versus an agent they built off the platform. The core advantage is a narrower set of data for the agents to manage tasks resulting in more accurate, more consistent, and more efficient agent workflows.
Yes, when configured and authorized to do so. TaskRay Agents can assist with approved activities such as creating tasks, updating project information, preparing summaries, identifying risks, or recommending schedule changes.
Organizations control which actions agents can perform and where human review or confirmation is required.
Yes. TaskRay Services can help organizations design custom agents for their specific delivery model, workflows, terminology, data, and governance requirements. We have a dedicated solutions team that is focused on building new agents for unique customer needs. This is a core service offering provided by TaskRay.
Custom agents can extend TaskRay into specialized use cases such as compliance management, scope control, billing management, revenue tracking, customer communications, or industry-specific project processes.
