“New Kanban” isn’t so new anymore—it launched back in April 2025. But with a cleaner design, smarter workflows, and several enhancements, it’s only getting better. If you haven’t explored it yet, now’s the time to dive in and see how it can transform the way your team manages projects.
Kanban is one of the most-loved views in TaskRay—and now it’s even more powerful. We’ve redesigned the Kanban experience with a focus on clarity, flexibility, and usability to help teams stay organized and easily manage work at scale.
The new Kanban experience isn’t just a visual refresh. It’s a reimagined interface built to better support the way you manage projects—from customer onboarding to complex cross-functional initiatives.
Smarter Task Organization
Group tasks by Priority, Owner, Project, or Task Group to quickly visualize work across teams and stay focused on what matters most.
Streamlined Interface
We’ve reduced visual clutter, improved task card readability, and added new ways to control your layout—like hiding or showing preferred columns and previewing key task details at a glance.
Enhancements Ahead
Coming in the September 2025 release: Flexible Kanban Layouts introduces Row Layout, which lets you choose between traditional columns (board-style cards) or rows (list-style tasks). Additionally, we’re introducing new grouping options, such as Estimated End Date and List Status.
The Kanban Experience
“New Kanban” isn’t so new anymore—it launched back in April 2025. But with a cleaner design, smarter workflows, and several enhancements, it’s only getting better. If you haven’t explored it yet, now’s the time to dive in and see how it can transform the way your team manages projects.
These enhancements mark the first of many interface enhancements we’re rolling out this year. A wave of thoughtful updates to the TaskRay interface that all build on one another, bringing momentum and refinement to how you work in the app.
You’ll see more improvements throughout the year, all rooted in the same philosophy:
Design that simplifies your work, adapts to your needs, and gets better over time.
This evolution is shaped by the real-world needs of TaskRay users. If you have thoughts or feedback, we’d love to hear from you, because great project management starts with listening. Check out our Product Roadmap to submit feedback and learn more about what’s coming soon.
